What is Redhibition?

Redhibition is also known as "Implied Warranties of Sale" under common law. Redhibition warrants that all things sold are fit for their intended use and contain no unapparent defects. Redhibition applies not only to new vehicles under four years old, but also RVs, Travel Trailers, Tractors, Boats, Heavy Equipment, and many other products. To have a claim under Redhibition there is no requirement your vehicle be serviced four times, only that the seller has a reasonable opportunity to repair the defect and be unable to repair adequately.
