How are my fees paid?
Attorney's fees are paid on a contingency basis whereby the Chesson Law Firm takes an interest in your case. You will only be required to pay fees to the firm at settlement or verdict, and if we do not recover, you owe no fee.

Do suits have to be filed?
No, in many cases injury claims are settled without suit which saves time and money and can help you acquire a quick settlement. However, when the settlement offers are not acceptable, the Chesson Law Firm will file suit on your behalf in the appropriate court.

When does suit have to be filed?
With few exceptions, in Louisiana, suit has to be filed in the proper court one year from the date of the injury. If suit is not filed within one year, your claim for injuries will be forever barred.

How long does it take to conclude an injury suit?
The wheels of justice move slow, and a case in litigation can takes months or years to conclude. However, the Chesson Law Firm will do all they can do to move your case to trial as soon as possible.

What about my medical bills?
If you do not have some form of medical insurance to cover your medical costs, in most cases, the Chesson Law Firm will advance your medical expenses and recover them from the defendant at the conclusion of your case.

What doctor's will treat my injury?
Always seek medical attention immediately if needed. however, for most medical conditions caused by accidents, the Chesson Law Firm has a network of many medical professionals who can treat your injuries.
